Foreign licencees - Guidelines 2023

How to register as a foreign licensee?

Foreign licence holders are also able to register via the Cycling Vlaanderen Portal. Go to this link.

How to unregister as a foreign licensee?

For road races you can unsubscribe on the portal of Cycling Vlaanderen until midnight the day before the race. For MTB, this is until 3 days before the race. For BMX, you can unsubscribe on the spot.

Do you still want to unregister after registrations are closed?

Until the start of the race, a rider may cancel his registration without consequence by completing this form. A rider who does not validly unregister for a race will be sanctioned for this.

ATTENTION: an unsubscription (e-mail to Cycling Vlaanderen, organizer,...) via another way than the Cycling Vlaanderen Portal and the form will be considered invalid. The rider will be sanctioned for this.

Registration fees and prizes for riders

All categories need to pay a registration fee. At a race, this can only be paid cash. Please bring the following things to the registration:

  • Valid UCI license
  • Appropriate registration fee (see below)
  • €5 deposit for your number and frame plate (road races)
  • Valid transponder
  • Foreign license holders: €5 extra as a contribution for personal third-party liability, legal status and solidarity.
  • Also check the specific discipline regulations for extras (e.g. handlebar board MTB)

For road races: prize money will be provided from the U17 category onwards. Please note: an organiser of a U17 and junior race is not obliged to provide prize money. The maximum pay scale for respective categories is set at €200.
